Find out a bit more about the team at ITbuilder, our history, and what we set out to do.
Find out moreITbuilder is a local Managed IT Services Provider, founded in 2001 by Managing Director James Naylor and based in Hertfordshire. Now with over 20 employees and growing, due to our reputation of technical expertise and dedication to customer service. ITbuilder is a supporter of apprenticeships, working with local partners to develop young talent in the local area.
ITbuilder was created to help businesses achieve their goals through innovative technology solutions. We exist to help businesses thrive by providing them with the best foundation to build their business upon and have fostered many long-term customer partnerships due to our total dedication to providing valuable expertise and service. Technology has the power to increase productivity, encourage transformation and give your business the best chance at success.
Our company founder and hands-on manager is still just as at home with the technical side as the commercial. James plays lots of sport to counter-balance his enormous appetite and love of fine food.
With over a decade in the business, James joined the company straight from university. James runs the service desk and is responsible for all aspects of service delivery. He’s also a keen golfer, runner and e-bike owner.
Russell joined the company in 2007 and is in charge of all technical operations, including in-house systems, professional services and technology suppliers. Russell is our tech-uberlord and a Liverpool fanatic.
Rob is a fully-qualified accountant with an iron grip on the company finances. He loves to play tennis and football, but being a numbers man is also committee member of the clubs he represents. He also supports the red half of North London but we don't hold that against him.
An ex-technician that made a move across to account management and now leads our commercial department. Graeme is an ex-pro footballer and now a proud, but rather tired, father of two young children.
ITbuilder’s first employee and still going strong. Simon is an experienced account manager with a considerable dedication to looking after all customers, but most notably our key accounts. He is also a big spurs fan and DIY handyman.
With the biggest and best smile in the office, Katie is keeps the wheels turning between our technical and commercial functions, day to day. She is frequently the first point of contact for our customers and gets things done. She loves nothing more than a good night out and is also an authority on dairy protein snacks, especially Kvarg.
Following a career in computer and server hardware sales, Luke made the move across to managed services in order to exploit the huge potential of cloud technology. Luke enjoys going the extra mile to make sure customers get exactly what they need. A keen gym boy, with the guns to match, he does boxing three times a week to stay sharp.
Lucy has experience in the field of IT procurement in both small and large businesses. She can source you a laptop or kitting out a datacentre, as was her remit during her time at Ocado. She is super-organised and can be relied upon for attention to detail when dealing with our customer's arrangements. Lucy is also partial to shot of tequila followed by a shot of pineapple..when not at work, of course.
A IT all-rounder hailing from South Africa, Jason is our Infosec expert, responsible for guiding our customers on matters of policy and certification. He is an accredited Cyber Essentials auditor and as well as marking other people's homework, he keeps our own certifications and standards up to scratch. He watches a LOT of sport and has a favourite football, baseball, rugby, NFL, NBA and NHL team.
A senior technician with his own home data-centre, Enzo is one of our consultants. When he isn't advising customers on the right technology for their business, he is busy building and implementing technology solutions for them. Despite a very Italian name and heritage, he is as British as they come, and not even that fond of pasta!
A trained chef who worked with Jamie Oliver and John Torode's restaurants in the past, Paul retrained in IT over a decade ago. He still keeps his hand in at home as well as being our resident 'pitmaster' when the office barebcue is lit. Paul now mostly spends his time visiting our key accounts to maintain their systems then racing back home to get his four, yes four, boys off to football, which he also coaches.
